Caitlin Clark’s impact on the WNBA with the Indiana Fever in just her first season in the league has been massive, and it’s safe to say that this is only the start for her.
While Clark’s role in helping grow women’s basketball in the United States is clear as day, she is also a major talking point for sports fans all over the world.
If it wasn’t obvious enough, the 2024 Summer Olympics have further highlighted Clark’s star power. Case in point, despite the fact that Clark isn’t even on Team USA for the action, she was one of the main talking points in an interview Eleanna Christinaki, who is a member of the Greece women’s basketball team, recently conducted.
Clark wasn’t included on Team USA’s Olympic roster in a highly criticized decision, and while they kicked off their action with a 102-76 victory over Japan, it felt like the Fever’s star guard was still the talk of the town.
For fans who aren’t sure whether or not Clark’s star extends beyond America, this short interview clip should prove that she easily is one of the biggest sports stars in the world.
And while she is waiting like the rest of us for the WNBA to get back underway, chances are she will only continue to prove that she’s a worldwide superstar once the Fever get back on the court.
