However, many might not know that in 2009, when Nic Collins was just eight years old, his father, Phil Collins, faced serious health struggles after spinal surgery left him unable to play the drums. Over the years, as Phil dealt with nerve damage and mobility issues, Nic stepped in, first as his father’s drummer and later joining Genesis and Mike & the Mechanics.
While many might assume Nic’s rise was due to his famous last name, his career is built on talent and hard work. Phil himself has emphasized that Nic earned his spot not through nepotism, but by proving his skill and dedication.
