All eyes were on the WNBA world on Wednesday night with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark going up against A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, pitting the front-runner for the Rookie of the Year and front-runner for the MVP up against one another.
Wilson and the Aces ended up getting the last laugh, with Las Vegas winning 86-75 behind 27 points and 12 rebounds from Wilson.
It was a tough night for Clark, who had just 16 points and six assists on 6-for-22 shooting, and 1-for-10 from deep. While the Fever wasn’t able to get the win on Wednesday night, they responded to the loss with a strong three-word message, looking forward to the weekend.
“rematch on Friday,” the team’ X account posted.
The two teams will face off once again on Friday afternoon at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both squads have clinched playoff berths already, so they’re just playing for seeding at this point. We will see if Clark and the Fever can get the best of Wilson and the Aces this time around.
