According to a report from ESPN, Cincinnati is among the favorites to land a NWSL team. Cleveland, Denver, Philadelphia and Nashville are also reportedly in consideration.
The NWSL was founded in 2012 with eight teams and has continued to grow since. The league now has 14 teams, with Boston on board as an expansion team beginning in 2026.
Clark immediately brings a star presence to Cincinnati’s ownership group, fresh off being the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever and the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.
