On Friday, the Butler Bulldogs took on the Merrimack College Warriors and won 78-39 to improve to 5-1. Caitlin Clark, a WNBA star for the Indiana Fever, was in attendance.
Of course, it wasn’t just her simple love for the Butler basketball program that got her in the stands, but rather to support her boyfriend Patrick McCaffrey, who’s a forward for the team.
At this point, Clark is already seen as basketball royalty because she’s helping change how the WNBA is viewed. So, it makes sense for the cameras to focus on her a few times throughout the game.
However, many social media users accuse Clark of looking “bored” there.
A lot of it feels like an overreaction because being on your phone for a short time doesn’t automatically mean you don’t care about what’s going on.
You also never know the situation, and the teams could be in a timeout, so there’s not much to watch.
Caitlin Clark Has Become A Part Owner Of A Sports Team
There’s been a push to add a National Women’s Soccer League expansion team to Cincinnati, and it’s reported that Clark has joined the ownership group.
“The NWSL Cincinnati bid team is thrilled that Caitlin Clark has joined our ownership group in pursuit of bringing a women’s professional soccer team to our city,” the NWSL Cincinnati bid team said, according to ESPN.
