WNBA Legend Sheryl Swoopes’ Coaching Scandal Resurfaces Amid Caitlin Clark Backlash

WNBA icon Sheryl Swoopes recently made headlines after her bold Caitlin Clark take went viral. According to the Hall of Famer, the Indiana Fever could make the Playoffs even without Clark, which is a compelling enough reason for Swoopes to pick Angel Reese as her frontrunner in the Rookie of the Year race.

As expected, Swoopes felt the full wrath of Clark fans as they called out the three-time WNBA MVP for what they feel is a faulty argument, to say the least.

So much so, that one Clark supporter went as far as digging up Swoopes’ old scandal from 2016 when she served as the head coach of the Loyola Ramblers.

As the Good Morning America report indicates, Swoopes’ conduct as head coach of the women’s basketball team was investigated after 10 out of the 12 players on her roster refused to return to the team after allegedly being mistreated by Swoopes.

Again, this story was from nearly a decade ago. All this just goes to show how passionate some Caitlin Clark fans can get when it comes to defending their idol.
