‘Taylor Swift clone’ won America’s Got Talent champion
Grace VanDerWaal – a 12-year-old girl with a sweet voice – won a million USD prize in the final on the evening of September 14.
Grace VanDerWaal burst into tears immediately after being named the winner. The girl explained to MC Nick Cannon that they were tears of happiness. Judge Howie Mandel commented: “You are very special. You are a shining star.”
Grace VanDerWaal – from New York – defeated opponents including: magic performance group The Clairvoyants, singer Sal Valentinetti, Brian Justin Crum and Jon Derenbos.

On Twitter, many people congratulated the 12-year-old contestant. A person named Jonboy wrote: “I rarely pay attention to these shows but Grace VanDerWaal absolutely deserves to win America’s Got Talent. I’m happy for her.”
In June, Grace VanDerWaal conquered the audience with the song I don’t know my name in the America’s Got Talent audition round. The 12-year-old girl received a golden ticket and went straight to the semi-finals. Judge Simon Cowell commented: “This will be the second Taylor Swift.”
