Angel Reese is making headlines for yet another time. The Chicago Sky star became the first player ever ejected from a game in the newly launched Unrivaled 3-on-3 winter basketball league. Playing for the Rose Basketball Club, Reese was dismissed in the second quarter with under a minute remaining.
While Rose held a 35-27 lead over Laces Basketball Club, the following moment came as a total surprise for the team. The ejection followed a foul on Laces forward Tiffany Hayes, during which Reese taunted her. Soon, the scuffle turned into an argument with the official, resulting in her second technical foul.
After her ejection, a video surfaced on social media showing Reese laughing and cracking jokes from the sidelines. In her own tweet, she humorously captioned the video to let her play. However, it was funny as she was peeping behind the arena’s structure, looking like she was behind bars.
“Free me,” Reese captioned her retweet.
Despite Reese’s absence, the Rose Basketball Club secured an 83-69 victory over Laces, marking just the latter’s second loss of the season. Before her ejection, Reese contributed six points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and one block in just seven minutes of play.
