Vince Gill’s daughter, Corrina, stunned the audience with an incredible performance of Carrie Underwood’s classic “Before He Cheats.”

Ahead of her highly anticipated album release, Corrina showcased her impressive vocal range and raw emotion, delivering the song with a unique blend of country grit and powerful vocal technique. As the crowd cheered, it was clear that Corrina is ready to make her mark in the music world, with her stunning performance proving that she has inherited her father’s musical talent and stage presence.

Vince Gill and Amy Grant’s 23-year-old daughter Corrina will release her debut album, House On Another Street, on Friday. She said the 10-song project is a look at where she’s been and where she’s going. On TikTok, the Belmont University graduate revealed where she might go is to school. Corinna said she gives high school students vocal lessons.

In the brief video, Corrina impressively ripped through a few bars of Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats,” complete with complicated vocal flourishes. Corrina fluffed her hair and applied lip gloss as she explained that she was stumped because she didn’t know how to teach her students how to sing raspy healthily.

“The only time there’s ever rasp in my voice is when I’m a little bit sick,” she said, demonstrating.

Her dad, a Country Music Hall of Famer, is a self-described crooner. It’s a fair bet she inherited the smooth textures in her voice from him. Gill couldn’t be prouder.

Corrina’s Voice is Only Raspy When She’s Sick

“She’s a real soulful singer, too, and she can do all the runs and all those things soul singers can do,” he said. “But she’s just got that great thing about her: she wants to do it all.”

Gill likened discovering Corinna to people discovering Chris Stapleton.

“As soon as he opens his mouth, everybody says, ‘Holy smokes,’” Gill said. “And there are singers like that. Not a lot, but there’s a few. And our kid is pretty special, obv

iously not because she’s my kid.”

Corrina said her album has moments of heaviness, joy, introspection, and a little grunge. In other words, don’t expect a straightforward country album.

“There’s a whole lot of vulnerability,” Corrina said. “All I know how to be is myself, and that is what this album is–an extension of who I am–right now–at 23 years old.”

Corrina’s Dad, Vince Gill, is on Her Album

A personal highlight for the singer is the opening track, “Little Painter,” which features her dad on guitar.

“He added some of his six-string magic,” Corrina said. “I wept the first time I heard it. To have a piece of him on this album is so meaningful to me.”

She isn’t sure how to classify the project in terms of genre – but it doesn’t matter.

“I do know that it is my heart laid out on the floor,” she said. “I am both a mix of my mom and dad and completely unique.”
